Presbytery of Olympia

(50 churches,– 11,097 Members)

The Presbytery of Olympia exists to serve Christ through supporting and strengthening congregations and clergy and offering its life in worship, service and witness.

We do this by:

• Promoting the health and well-being of clergy and congregations by providing spiritual nurture, education, and pastoral care.

• Providing resources and training for congregational leaders in the areas of planning, conflict resolution, discernment, Session and Deacon board development, evangelism, ministries of peacemaking, justice and mercy -- and more.

• Assisting congregations in times of pastoral transition.

• Keeping the connections alive between and among our congregations for the sake of mutual growth, New Church Development and Congregational Redevelopment.

• Providing guidance, support, and nurture to inquirers and candidates for the Ministry of Word and Sacrament.

• Encouraging the development of ethnic and multi-cultural ministries.

• Supporting ecumenical mission projects in areas of need.

• Functioning as a 'link' between congregations, Synod and the General Assembly.

• Providing quality camping experiences for our children, youth and adults.
