Linda Valentine, Executive Director of the General Assembly Mission Council, publishes a monthly newsletter. This month's message includes the story of a National Presbyterian Scholarship recipient from Mount. Vernon, Iowa. A foster child with responsibility for three siblings at age 8, her life was transformed when she was adopted into a loving family involved in the First Presbyterian Church of Mount Vernon.
