Presbyterian church used for flood relief in NJ

On Sunday, April 15, the Presbyterian Church of Bound Brook, New Jersey, opened its doors to area residents driven from their homes by flood waters from the massive nor’easter that hit the region. This is the second significant flood of the Raritan River in eight years.  More than 200 people are currently housed at the church.  According to Rev. Louis Kilgore, the church’s pastor, response to the needs of those displaced by the storm has been overwhelming: “Within hours, dozens of volunteers from the church and the community set up kitchen services and cots to feed and house evacuees. We have been amazed and blessed by the outpouring of donations of food, bedding, and toiletries.”  Those wishing to help in the relief effort may send checks to the church’s office, with the donation marked “Flood Relief”.  The Presbyterian Church at Bound Brook , 409 Mountain Avenue ,Bound Brook, New Jersey 08805.
