Rev. Don Keller & 60 Years of Ordination

  • Lakewood Presbyterian Church 8601 104th St. SW Lakewood, WA 98498 (map)

Dear Presbytery,

The Reverend Don Keller will celebrate his 60th Anniversary of Ordination into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA) on July 14, 2017. A graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, he was called to John Knox (Seattle) as Associate Pastor. Serving five churches in these 60 years, he is now thankfully and honorably retired--twice--and leads a Sunday morning Adult Bible Study at Lakewood PC. Lakewood will help him celebrate his 60th Anniversary at Sunday worship on July 16 (10:30am) followed by a reception.

The last 3 years have been difficult for Don. Falls, cognitive issues, and awareness of his 85-year-old frailty are not easy for one who pitched Fastpitch for 60 seasons and had not yet pitched his last game. As we celebrate his 60th year of ordination on July 16, could you, if possible, be there to share the celebration? Or could you recall a memory and send it to him? Or could you send him some tender thoughts? He will know, whatever you do. The relationships he has had with people, churches and presbyteries have meant so much to him as he continues to live, serve, learn and enjoy the life that God is entrusting to him. Thank you for your part in that.

Please RSVP if you are coming on July 16: (253) 588-2479.

Sincerely,

Carol Reeve-Keller
