Does a Week at the Beach This Summer Appeal to You?
St. John's Chapel by the Sea at the border of Moclips and Pacific Beach, is interested in providing a VBS to area children. "Tiny, but mighty" with a small congregation (actually the smallest in the Presbytery of Olympia), we are looking for bodies to assist us with a week-long bible school.
The dates may be adjusted depending on who may be able to assist. We are looking at late July or early August.
"Waters All Around the World" is the PCUSA curriculum we are considering, with 10 leader roles. In addition, we would be looking at a few assistants to make this happen.
If you do not have access to lodging, we'll see what we may do for you. This is a morning program Monday-Friday, so you'll have the afternoon to play at the beach, travel the area or just relax at the ocean.
(Elder Phyllis Shaughnessy has designed a kids' summer lunch program for the North Beach area. Last year 10,006 lunches were served. This program has received national attention! We hope to attract some of these children to attend a VBS.)
And how about a BBQ at the beach! Maybe we end the week with a BBQ!
