            Prevention of Sexual Misconduct Training Seminar

Time:   9:30 coffee, 10am training begins, ends at 4pm (lunch will be served)  

Cost:    $35, which includes training manual and lunch

In response to a growing concern for the problems and frequency of sexual misconduct in society and the potential for it in the church, Olympia Presbytery voted in November, 1995 to adopt a policy that mandates all members of the Olympia Presbytery to attend the preventative training seminar.  It also addresses the recommendation that all church workers attend the preventative training seminar.  Please extend this invitation to your staff including CLPs, youth workers, and lay employees. 

The Committee on Ministry voted at its January 8, 2004 meeting that all ordained ministers of word and sacrament would take the class at a minimum of every five years.  Presbytery affirmed this decision at its May 2005 presbytery meeting.

Registration will be limited to the first 60 registrants.  More registration  information will be sent out the beginning of March.
