Transforming Communities Workshop


Are you longing for greater clarity about who your congregation is becoming? Wondering how to connect your identity with the needs of the neighborhood around you in ways that feel faithful and life-giving? The Transforming Communities Workshop invites you into a two-day, guided space to explore your context, listen deeply to your community, and practice the tools that help churches design meaningful, adaptive ministry. Together we’ll focus on practical skills that support long-term mission alignment, sustainable impact, and help communities respond faithfully and effectively to the changing environment around them. Regular cost will be $499, but for OlyPres participants it will be $349 with with the code OLYMPIAATTENDEESTCW2026.

Transforming Communities helps you understand your local context and match your organization’s strengths to the needs and opportunities of the community in order to guide effective program design. Organizations that make the biggest impact are filled with people who stay attentive to the rapidly changing environments where they serve. The TC framework provides the tools to be adaptive now and in the future. At the end of this workshop, participants will have the tools to: Gain greater clarity on their people and organization. Create replicable processes to understand identity, belonging, and mission in your context Practice new skills based on the social sciences such as design thinking, better listening, ethnography skills, and community development.
